Very good
Very good
Its worth a try!
emm... super useful for passport photo, especially for our aliens
Definitely worth a try!
First of all, you have to choose your photo type: either US, UK, Canada, etc. Unfortunately, the finish product always indicates the photo is for a US passport. You also need to make sure there is a lot of space around your photo since if you zoom in on a photo, the app will crop the photo to something less than 2" x 2". Once your photo is shown, there is an initial "stickiness" to the feel of the app. It doesnt seem you can move the photo unless you resize it first by pinching. Overall, I feel it is not worth the trouble to download. There are other apps and I regret downloading this app.
Good application! clear instructions and works as described. Just remember to read the instructions before taking photo as author suggested. Seems that Apple will finally support the AirPrint feature and hope author can upgrade its apps as promised after iOS 4.2 released.
Would not scale or pan existing photos as indicated
This app will not allow you to scale or move pic. If I could get a refund I would and buy a different app.
Took a while for me to get a picture that would fit in the outline properly, but thats my own fault, not the apps. Your best bet is to take the photo from farther away and zoom it within this app. The ability to export a 4x6 to the camera roll for later uploading to my local pharmacy photo center was really helpful.
This app did exactly what I needed, as advertised. The AirPrint feature worked beautifully, too. It even correctly printed to the photo paper in the printer, unlike other apps. Snap a photo, scale to the provided on-screen guidelines, save & print. It really is that easy. The printed dimensions were spot on, too. It could use a quick link to get back to the beginning, hence the 4 stars; with that button, Id give it full marks.
Totally works, gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because I wasnt able to make it work when taking the pic of myself using the reverse pic feature of my iPhone 4S. When someone else took the pic though it lined up perfectly with the template & AirPrint worked great.
should be a simple program, but I could not get it to print with WIN7, so be careful.
Just had passport application returned with "photo unacceptable". Leaving on cruise in one week. This tells you everything you need to know.
I have not had a problem with it printing to my printer onto photo prints. I use it to take ID pictures of students for their student folder and certification ID. I charge them less than the local photo shop , ($5) and I still make a profit. Cant beat it.
The picture quality is horrible and when you send it to AirPrint on a 4x6 it print on portrait and not on landscape. I had to use the camera and photoshop it. I dont recommend this app.
Terrible app
The most serious deficiency is that you can NOT reduce the size of a photo to fit the passport template - you can only make it bigger. This is O.K. but leaves open the possibility of increasing the graininess and making the photo quality unacceptable. A good (easy?) fix would be to project the passport template on the screen when the photo is taken allowing the sizing to be done in the very first step. I would have made this suggestion to the developer directly but the "support" site does not allow for constructive comments - or any comments, actually. Bottom line - - with a little work you can get a decent passport photo but it is not as seamless as the app description makes it out to be. The same trial and error process can be used without spending $0.99.
Created six passport-type photos using this app for the astonishingly low total cost of 32 cents (taxes included)! Would highly recommend this app.
USPS did not accept my photo for the passport because it produced a shadow behind me, there was supposed to be a white background to do so to avoid shadows. It works but hmmmm... This needs improvements.
It cannot reduce the size!!! Figure out yourself how to get one in perfect match and still need this app.
